- 500 grams ground meat
- 1 head Wirsing cabbage
- 250 grams lasagna noodles
- 1 jar tomato sauce
- 200 grams mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate pot, blanch the Wirsing cabbage leaves in boiling water for about 2 minutes, then drain.
- In a baking dish, layer the ingredients: start with a layer of meat, then noodles, followed by a layer of cabbage and tomato sauce.
- Repeat the layers and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and reheated when needed.
- Feel free to substitute the ground meat with a plant-based alternative for a vegetarian version.
