Delicious traditional Linzer cookies filled with fruity jam and dusted with powdered sugar.

- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 150 g butter, softened
- 100 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g raspberry jam
- 50 g powdered sugar for dusting
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough to 5mm thickness on a floured surface.
- Cut out rounds and place half on a baking sheet.
- Cut out smaller circles in the center of the remaining rounds.
- Spread raspberry jam on the full rounds and place the cut rounds on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For a different flavor, use apricot or strawberry jam instead of raspberry.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
