Delicious Mini Donauwellen Plätzchen, a perfect blend of chocolate and cherry flavors.

Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 300 g cherries
  • 200 g chocolate for glazing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
  6. Divide the batter in half, adding cocoa powder to one half.
  7. Spread the light batter in a baking pan, then the dark batter on top.
  8. Scatter the cherries over the batter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool.
  10. Melt chocolate and glaze the cooled bars.
  11. Cut into small pieces and serve.
