A delicious and creamy potato gratin, perfect as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 300 ml heavy cream
  • 150 g grated cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 50 g butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  3. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the cheese.
  6. Layer the remaining potatoes, pour the rest of the cream mixture, and top with cheese.
  7. Dot with butter on top.
  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden and tender.

Notes

  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor.
