- 1 loaf brioche bread
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar (for topping)
- Slice the brioche bread into thick slices.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.
- Soak the bread slices in the mixture for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the soaked bread slices in a baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle sugar on top of the baked French toast and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it forms a crispy layer.
- Serve warm with syrup or fresh fruit.
