A delicious apple flan dessert that’s smooth and creamy with a hint of caramel.

  • 3 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, cook over medium heat until it caramelizes.
  3. Pour the caramel into a flan mold and let it cool.
  4. Blend the apples, milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture over the cooled caramel.
  6. Bake in a water bath for 50-60 minutes or until set.
  7. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
  • Serve chilled for the best texture.
