- 3 large apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, cook over medium heat until it caramelizes.
- Pour the caramel into a flan mold and let it cool.
- Blend the apples, milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the cooled caramel.
- Bake in a water bath for 50-60 minutes or until set.
- Let cool completely before serving.
